Astronomy Workshops (24th to 27th November 2009)
The Centre received overwhelming response from different schools for the workshops and hence about more than 1500 students registered for participation in the Astronomy workshops. The two hour workshop comprised of a presentation on geometry and physics of the Solar system. Students were shown the Sun spots with the help of Telescope fitted with myler film. Students worked with their own hands and developed pin-hole camera. Safe Solar Eclipse viewing tips were also advised to all the participants.
